Terms of Use

These terms apply to applications published by Wondering Works ("we", "us"), including Ramble and Life Matrix. By using our apps you agree to them.

Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use our apps on devices you own or control, in line with the App Store Terms of Service. The apps and their content remain our property; you may not redistribute, resell, decompile or reverse-engineer them, except where that restriction is not permitted by law.

Software we publish as open source is licensed separately under the terms stated in its own repository, and those terms take precedence for that software.

Your content

Your recordings, transcripts and notes are yours. We claim no ownership over them and, as described in our Privacy Policy, we do not receive them. You are responsible for the content you create and for having the right to record anything you record — recording other people may require their consent under the law that applies where you are.

Beta software

Apps distributed through TestFlight are pre-release. They may change, misbehave, or lose data. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose.

Transcription accuracy

Speech recognition is imperfect and always will be. Do not rely on a transcript for any purpose where an error would be costly — medical, legal, financial or safety-critical use included — without checking it against the audio yourself.

Services you connect

Our apps let you connect a transcription service that you configure and control. You are responsible for that service, its security and its availability. We are not responsible for anything that happens on infrastructure we do not operate.

Warranties and liability

Our apps are provided "as is", without warranties beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, which applies regardless of anything written here. Where liability can lawfully be limited, ours is limited to resupplying the software or paying the cost of having it resupplied.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the apps after a change means you accept the updated terms.
